In this session, we will discuss what makes up compensation plans in the public sector. What are the core principles that guide public sector agencies when it comes to pay? What are the laws you need to know? Lastly, what can you be doing in your organization to make compensation feel more meaningful to your employees?
Brian Haggerty
Mr. Haggerty is an experienced professional with over 20 years of compensation and classification expertise in both private and public sector organizations and has broad experience with both point factoring and market-based job analysis. He possesses a Masters of HR Management, has taught graduate level classes in HR Management and Benefits and Compensation at several different universities including University of Denver and University of California, Berkeley, and has served as the Colorado Chapter President, PSHRA Western Region President, and recently finished his term on the PSHRA Executive Council. Mr. Haggerty has assisted many organizations with developing compensation policies and practices, as well as compensation and total reward philosophies that align with their business strategies to build out other programs. He has also assisted organizations with developing spot award and short-term incentive programs to help shape and build upon their recognition platforms.
