In The Community

IPMA-HR Colorado is dedicated to building strong relationships not only with our members, public agencies, and private employers, but also with our community.  Here’s how we are making a difference!

PAST PARTNERS (2017-2019)

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) - For Children

CASA of Jefferson and Gilpin Counties (CASA Jeffco/Gilpin) serves the most vulnerable children through awareness, advocacy, and support. With the dedication of hundreds of volunteers throughout Jefferson and Gilpin counties in Colorado, they serve the 1st Judicial District, which ranks 3rd in the state for child abuse and neglect cases. Their mission is to recruit, train and manage volunteers who serve as independent lay advocates for children who are victims of neglect and physical and/or sexual abuse. Our hope is that all children will have a CASA volunteer as someone to pay attention, someone to give the child a voice, someone to care.

Interested in becoming a CASA volunteer?

By dedicating 3-4 hours per week, every CASA volunteer makes a difference in the life of a child. Learn more about becoming a CASA volunteer by visiting their website at casajeffcogilpin.com.

Interested in hosting a supply drive?

CASA is in need of coats, mittens, hats, socks/underwear, hygiene products, diapers, slippers/shoes, bus/light rail tickets, and gently used business clothes for their youth looking for jobs.  Monetary donations are accepted.  CASA Jeffco/Gilpin is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.  For more information, please visit casajeffcogilpin.com

Interested in making a financial contribution?

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, CASA relies on their donors - individuals, corporations and foundations. More than half of their annual budget of over $650,000 is funded by foundations and grantors. The rest is funded by individual and corporate donors and special events. Your tax deductible gift can help provide a much needed voice for abused and neglected children in our community. To make a donation, please visit their online Colorado Gives donation page or contact casajeffcogilpin.com/contact-us

Thanks for helping us support our community!
