Hello Colorado HR professionals,

Welcome to the International Public Management Association for Human Resources (IPMA-HR), Colorado chapter. The IPMA-HR organization is the leading public sector human resource organization in the world. Together, we represent the interests of human resource professionals at all levels and strive to promote excellence in HR management. The IPMA-HR Colorado chapter aligns our efforts by representing the interests of public sector HR professionals in the Rocky Mountain region.

I am honored to step into the role of Board President, following in the footsteps of Demetrius Parker and the extraordinary leaders who have served the IPMA-HR CO Chapter in this capacity over the years.

Your 2021-2022 elected Board of Directors is a group of experienced leaders dedicated to human resources excellence and eager to accomplish great things for the Chapter. Please take a moment to learn more about them on the IPMA Leadership page. We also owe a huge thank you to the 2020-2021 Board of Directors for their dedication, service and leadership over the past year.

I’m excited about the upcoming year. While we and our communities continue to face challenges, I am optimistic. The Board met in August to begin planning for the upcoming season which kicks off in October. We have an incredible year planned for you.  For now, we’ll continue with virtual programming but we’re also hoping to begin offering in-person networking and education opportunities soon.

Our emphasis this year will be on “Bringing the HUMAN Back to HR”.  Sessions will focus on Heart, Understanding, Motivation, Altruism and New Trends. And back by popular demand, Chuck Passaglia will provide a legal update in January. Please watch the website and look for our monthly email messages announcing upcoming sessions and speakers.
