President's Message

Dear Colorado HR professionals,

Welcome to the Public Sector HR Association (PSHRA), Colorado chapter. The PSHRA organization is the world's leading public sector human resource organization. Together, we represent the interests of human resource professionals at all levels and strive to promote excellence in HR management. The PSHRA Colorado chapter aligns our efforts by representing the interests of public sector HR professionals in the Rocky Mountain region.

I am honored to step into the role of Board President, following in the footsteps of Geralyn Gorshing and the extraordinary leaders who have served the PSHRA CO Chapter in this capacity over the years.

Your 2023-2024 elected Board of Directors is a group of exceptional individuals dedicated to human resources excellence and eager to accomplish great things for the Chapter. Please take a moment to learn more about them on the PSHRA Leadership page. Throughout the years we have had amazing volunteers dedicate their time and experienced leadership to elevate the Colorado Chapter to new heights. I cannot thank our members and our 2022-2023 Board of Directors enough for the successes we experienced over the past year.

As I reflect on my career as a Human Resources Professional, I can’t help but think about the countless employees I’ve encountered and the assistance and guidance that has been provided. I’m sure I’m not alone in this area. All too often HR folks put our own needs on the backburner. This year, the PSHRA Board met to plan for the upcoming season and the focus of our time was to take time for ourselves! We were able to meet at a location in the mountains for a day of strategy, relaxion and reflection, oh and no cell phone service. As a result of our fantastic meeting, we came up with the 2023-24 Theme of “The Year of You: Refuel, Renew and Re-Engage.”

Our annual programming continues to support our Vision, Mission and Goals - Heart, Understanding, Motivation, Altruism and New Trends. Please watch the website and look for our monthly email messages announcing upcoming sessions and speakers.
